It feels like it happens every Spring... The water in Gunlock Reservoir stars to spill over the gorgeous red rocks and creates some unbelievable waterfalls for all of us to see. This Spring is no different. Sitting about 15 miles from downtown St. George, Utah rests Gunlock Reservoir. You travel through Santa Clara, through Ivins, and through Shivwits Indian Reservation. You'll wind through some of the most naturally beautiful parts of Southern Utah before it hits you right in the face: Gunlock Falls.

Dozens of people head northwest from St. George to see the jaw dropping views at Gunlock State Park. You can get as close as you want, but be safe! This water can sweep someone away. You'll watch beautiful crystal clear water twist and turn through our red rocks. People will be out taking photos, videos, or just laying on the rocks enjoying this natural beauty.

Bring your hiking shoes or tennis shoes, sandals are a no-go to make it to the Gunlock Falls. But don't expect to be alone. You'll be met with tons of people having the same amazing idea that you had. Be courteous, bring your camera, and watch your kids while you enjoy one of the best parts of a Southern Utah Springtime at the Gunlock Falls.
