11 Celebrities That Found Sobriety In Utah Rehab Centers!
Many people across the globe struggle with addiction. In the United States alone, 46 Million people age 12 and up have had a substance abuse issue in the last year alone. Many struggle with drug addiction, alcohol addiction, sex addiction, porn addiction, eating disorders, and more.
Over the years, dozens of celebrities have called Utah home and found sobriety right here in our gorgeous state.

Matthew Perry:
This story was inspired by Matthew Perry talking about his time in rehab in Utah in his memoir "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing." I finished the book one day before Perry's passing. Matthew struggled with alcohol addiction and opioids. Matthew checked into this rehab in 2001 where he began his journey to sobriety. He was sober around 2 years at his unfortunate passing.
John Stamos:
Another person that mentioned the Cirque Lodge in their memoir. This time, It was John Stamos' new memoir "If You Would Have Told Me". Stamos checked into the Utah rehab facility for alcohol addiction after a very public DUI.
Robert Downey Jr.:
One of the most renowned celebrities in recover, Downey Jr. struggled with cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin. After a few arrests, RDJ found the motivation to recover from substance misuse. He checked into the Cirque Lodge in the early 2000s.
Lindsay Lohan:
Lindsay Lohan checked into the Utah Treatment Center in 2007 and 2020 after a DUI-related charge. After completing her rehab, Lohan came back to Utah to shoot her Netflix Christmas movie, Falling For Christmas, which was shot almost exclusively in Park City.
Daniel Radcliffe:
Daniel Radcliffe, more commonly known as Harry Potter found himself struggling with alcohol abuse after his time on Harry Potter. He used alcohol to cope with the fame he found from the Potter franchise. Daniel checked into the facility in 2010. He relapsed a couple years later, but he's now been sober since.
Britney Spears:
One of the biggest celebrities to be in the facility, Britney Spears has hard a hard time the last 20 years. It appears that Britney was urged by her family to join Linsday Lohan in 2007. If you've read any of Britney's latest memoir, she hasn't had a very easy life since finding fame.
Cara Delevingne:
Cara Delevingne, a massive fashion model, and actress checked into Cirque just a year ago, after concerns about "Bizarre bahavior" and fears that she would end up dead. She was treated for her addictions and is now out on her own and doing well.
Mary-Kate Olsen:
Half of America's Favorite Twins, Mary-Kate Olsen checked into the Cirque Lodge in 2007 to get help with an eating disorder she was battling. Mary-Kate was only 18 at the time of check-in. Her sister and herself have now found major success in the fashion world where they're both worth around half a billion dollars!
Demi Moore:
In January 2012, Demi Moore was rushed to the Emergency Room after she collapsed at a party she was having. The woman that called 911 reported that Moore was "Smoking something" (some report she had been inhaling nitrous oxide). This all came at the heels of her break-up with Ashton Kutcher. She checked into the Utah treatment facility in February of 2012. She now is doing well and is helping her daughter, Tallulah Willis with addiction problems of her own.
Eva Mendes:
Eva Mendes checked into the Utah rehab in early 2008 for undisclosed substance abuse issues. She found sobriety and is now married to Ryan Gosling and they have two children together.
Kirsten Dunst:
Kirsten Dunst really struggled with the death of Heath Ledger and was battling major depression when she checked into the Cirque Lodge in 2008. She was also seen with erratic behavior at the Sundance Flim Festival that year.
