Best Korean BBQ And Hot Pot In Utah. See Pics!
Have you ever eaten Korean BBQ or Hot Pot? I hadn't until my friend took me while I was visiting SLC. I have to say it was delicious! And the experience is very different than I thought it would be.
There is only one location in Utah but back east there are a ton. This is info from the Kpot website:
KPOT Taylorsville
5628 S REDWOOD ROAD
TAYLORSVILLE, UTAH 84123
"Since opening our first location in 2018, KPOT has become a crowd favorite for traditional Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. We are consistently highly recognized for excellent food, ambiance, and service. There are currently more than 70 KPOT locations nationally, with many more to come in 2024! We aim to bring the joy of KPOT to as many people as possible to spread the love for Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. Come for the food, stay for a good time!"
In the waiting area you get to sample some delicious fruit drinks and appetizers. It is way more neon than I thought it would be.
I felt like I was in a dance club waiting for a friend to show up. Very colorful and electric vibe. I didn't feel rushed though.
The juice was good and the treats really did make the time we had to wait, fly by. I got to check it all out and know what I wanted before we sat down. We were ready to chat and eat at that point.
I don't eat enough meat for the dinner prices but the lunch pricing looks like I could handle it for a special treat.
There are other things on the menu but by the time you order 2 options, you might as well do the buffet with a million options.
You can come for dinner and a movie. Subtitles were definitely needed for us. The seating is awesome because there is so much space for all of your plates and bowls. They said that you can't burn yourself on the hot plates but I'm sure I could manage it.
Enjoy all of these pics of the food and buffet options. I would definitely suggest going and trying all the food. It was quite the delicious experience.
The hot pot was my favorite part. I love soup and the combination options were awesome. you could choose different meat, rice noodles, veggies, sauce flavors and toppings. So good.
Many different flavors in seemingly traditional wrappers. Look at these options! They went on and on. The bars were constantly cleaned too. There were designated servers that took care of any spills or people putting the tongs in the food or in the wrong spot.
The amount of food on this buffet was impressive. There were 4 or 5 different buffet bars to choose from. Fresh fruit and dessert too.
Go Eat at KPot. Let me know what you think. I will be going back fro lunch. aaronee@townsquaremedia.com

Have You Heard Of Irish Nachos? They're Easy AND Delicious!
What's Aaronee Cookin'? I am getting really good at using leftovers to make something completely different and this is one of those recipes. Irish Nachos. I have been making a version of these for years but I had no idea that is what they were sometimes called until I went to Wing Nuts and ordered some. Here's what you can do with leftovers.
If you have leftover baked potatoes, this is what you should turn them into.
Doesn't that look amazing? Well it was. They are so delicious. You can use any type of chili you want but I love Madras Lentils.
It doesn't take very much to top all of the potatoes either. I always crisp them up first with a little olive oil and garlic salt before I top them.
I usually use Colby-jack cheese but I just use what is in my fridge at the moment.
YUM! it really is super good and you should totally try it next time you have leftover baked potatoes.
Recipe:
Sliced up baked potatoes
Chili of any kind, just make sure it is thick and will stay on the sliced potatoes.
Cheese, any kind you want.

Chives
Directions:
