What store is slimming down?

Joann Fabrics, the final boss of crafting supplies, has announced their plans to shut down over 500 stores across nearly the entire country. Why? Joann's has filed for bankruptcy... Again! That's two bankruptcies in less than a year. However, instead of calling it "downsizing", they've calling it "right-sizing"!

Feel free to call it whatever you want, but the bottom line is that there's going to be fewer places to grab that last minute glue, sequins, and fabric when that inspiration hits!

Nevada is on the chopping block:

Joann is losing 20% of their stores! Before you panic... that 20% only means one store will be closing their doors. Joann Fabrics currently has five stores in Nevada. The location that will be getting the boot is:

  • Elko: 2759 Mountain City Highway

What This Means for Nevada Crafters

  • If you're in Elko, or the surrounding areas, you can say goodbye to those spontaneous crafting supply runs!
  • What can you do? Take a road trip to another location... or just shop online, and hope that the shipping doesn't run into any issues.
  • On the bright side? You might be able to score some sweet clearance deals before the doors officially close!

If Joann’s is your happy place, now’s the time to stock up—before it's gone for good!
