BUCKET LIST: The All-Star Game In Salt Lake City!
After 30's years of waiting... Utah was FINALLY home to NBA's All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City! It was announced in 2019 that Utah would get the weekend and I KNEW that I had to go!
Tickets, however, were too expensive. I couldn't afford it. Friday night was the Celebrity All-Star game, and the Rising Stars Game. After watching both... I had to be there. I got in my car and drove to Salt Lake City not even knowing what to expect. The city was PACKED FULL of people from all over the world to see the GREATEST basketball players under one roof. There were events all over the valley and once I saw the arena... I knew I needed a ticket inside.
I bought my ticket and walked in when the NBA.com crew stopped me to sign up for some giveaway. Instantly, I could feel it in my gut! I WAS GOING TO WIN! I signed up and needed my NBA.com password. I entered it... Fail. I entered again... Fail. I entered a third time... FAIL! They let a woman move ahead of me. She scanned her ticket in MY PLACE. And everyone started screaming "WINNER!" The cameras came out! The cheerleaders came out! SHE JUST WON COURTSIDE SEATS IN A RECLINER! I was sick. My stomach dropped. THAT WAS MY SPOT. I was crushed. I walked to my seat.. At the TOP TOP TOP of the arena and sat down. Still in shock of what just happened. However... It was still an awesome experience having the All-Star Weekend in my home state! Here are the highlights!
