Don’t Be Shocked By The Green Porch Lights Popping Up All Over Utah!
If you start seeing green lights pop up in your neighborhood, don’t be confused. No... Utah isn’t getting invaded by aliens, it’s not an early St. Patrick’s Day celebration, and your neighbors aren’t secretly opening a dispensary (this is Utah, after all). Those glowing green lights are a bold and heartfelt way for Utahns to show support for our U.S. military!
It could be a porch light, a window display, or even those awesome permanent Christmas lights shining bright green to make a statement. And that statement? "We see you, we appreciate you, and we’ve got your back!"
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
This green light movement isn't just about being patriotic, or showing your patriotic vibes. It's about the REAL people showing support for our REAL military members. These people are our neighbors, our friends, and our family members. Maybe someone down the street has served in Afghanistan, or your next door neighbors son has just enlisted. Whatever the reason, it's a very simple but VERY POWERFUL way to say "We recognize the sacrifices you've made for me and my family!"
WHY UTAH?
If there's one thing Utah does well (besides fry sauce and dirty soda), it's showing up for their community! Utahn's are well-known for their huge support of military. Plus, with Hill Air Force Base in Northern Utah, our connection runs deep! Whether it's military families, veterans, or active duty, Utah steps up in BIG WAYS with this movement!
So, if you start seeing that green light glowing on someones front porch, or in their windows, just know: It's not JUST A COLOR... It's a message! It's a big reminder that in Utah, we stand with our troops and we're so proud of their sacrifices.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go buy a green light bulb. My front porch could use a little upgrade anyway!
