Iron County Fair Returns With a Weekend Full of Fun

The Iron County Fair is gearing up for another year of community entertainment, competitions and Western tradition at the Iron County Fairgrounds in Parowan. The 2026 fair runs through Labor Day weekend, with events, contests and activities taking place September 4 through September 7.

Livestock and Agriculture: Livestock competitions are a major part of the Iron County Fair, giving local youth and families an opportunity to showcase the animals they have raised and cared for. The fair also features agricultural exhibits and competitions highlighting the work and talents of local residents.

Exhibits: The Exhibit Building is packed with local creations, including quilts, artwork, photography, baked goods, produce, crafts and other entries. Public viewing begins Friday, September 4, at noon and continues throughout the weekend. Visitors can also participate by voting for their favorite entry for the People's Choice Award.

Beautiful Baby Contest: The youngest fairgoers get their moment in the spotlight during the Beautiful Baby Contest. The contest is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, at 9 a.m. at the Midway Tent.

Iron County's Got Talent: Local performers will take the stage Saturday, September 5, for Iron County's Got Talent. Youth contestants begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by teens at noon and adults at 12:30 p.m. The finals are scheduled for 1 p.m., giving performers a chance to show off their talents in front of a fair crowd.

Cornhole Tournament: Competitive fun continues with the fair's Cornhole Tournament. Whether you're a serious competitor or just looking for something fun to watch, the tournament adds another activity to the weekend lineup.

Rodeo and Western Events: Rodeo fans have plenty to look forward to, with events including the Ranch Rodeo, PRCA Pro Rodeo, 4-D Barrel Racing and Team Roping. The Ranch Rodeo features traditional ranch skills and competitions, including team branding, team sorting, team doctoring and tie-down events. The Ranch Rodeo is scheduled for Monday, September 7, at 1 p.m.

Parade: The Iron County Labor Day Parade brings the fair to a close Monday morning at 10 a.m. on Parowan Main Street. This year's theme is "Rockin' the 90s," so parade participants are encouraged to bring back the music, movies, toys, fashion and pop culture of the 1990s. Floats, horses, classic cars, marching bands and dancers will make their way down Main Street, with prize money available for parade entries.

Midway Entertainment: The Midway Tent serves as a central gathering place for entertainment and activities throughout the weekend. Friday includes Senior and Special Needs Bingo from 10:30 a.m. to noon, while Saturday features the Beautiful Baby Contest, Iron County's Got Talent and additional live entertainment.
