The State That Searches Las Vegas the Most is…Utah?

Utah Searches for Las Vegas 

A study that looked at internet searches for Las Vegas from each state found Utah of all places has the most. Casinos.com looked at those who included the city in their searches and excluding Nevada itself, Utah has the most searches of any other. 

Utah was the state with the highest search scores for keywords relating to visiting Las Vegas. Natives here topped the charts for searches such as 'Vegas flights', 'Las Vegas booking', and 'Vegas trip'.   

Most for Searches, But Not Visits 

Utahns may search Las Vegas a lot, but that doesn’t translate into actually visiting. In fact, we weren’t even on the top ten list of states that visit sin city. Number one was Vermont of all places. Next on the list was Alaska followed by Rhode Island. 

It makes me wonder how many of those searches from Southern Utah involved people planning travel from the airport there. Many people drive the two hours to fly out of Harry Reid International to save money. 

California and Hawaii were also high for searches, but not on the list of states that visit. That seems surprising with all the traffic between California and Nevada after a long weekend.

No Border States on the List 

On their list of the top ten states who visit Las Vegas every year, not one is a state that borders Nevada. And most are clear across the country. Apparently, it is a lot more exotic place for those who live further away.
