The State of Utah passed a bill last year that bans certain dyes and additives from school lunches. The goal is to limit the amount of synthetic ingredients kids consume, but these aren't the only foods that the state says not to eating.

Animals in Utah You Can Catch But Shouldn't Eat

Fish from Utah Lake in Provo have pollutants including chemicals that can be harmful. The state says don't eat them. They list other fish from reservoirs when they discover chemical contamination.

There are other animals that should stay off your dinner table. These are those animals that are endangered in Utah. These include animals like a Gila monster, gray wolf, and the Kanab Amber snail. I don't know why you would want to eat any of those anyway.

Banned Foods From Around the World Are Also Banned in Utah

Speaking of endangered, you also can't eat anything that is been banned in other parts of the world. This would include things like shark fin, most big turtles, and pretty much any kind of whale.

Don't get any ideas about consuming those animals kept as pets. That means a big no to dogs, cats, and horses. I don't care how good your neighbor's prize winning Pomeranian looks, it is on the banned list.

Now you have a good idea of the foods you are not allowed to eat in Utah. You could probably add some of your relatives dishes that shouldn't be eaten, but don't expect the state to issue a warning unless you start to feed it to kids at school.
