Breast Cancer Survivors And Supporters Gather This Weekend In Cedar City
Cedar City will turn pink Saturday morning as Power in Pink-Iron County holds its 14th annual Walk and 5K, bringing breast cancer survivors, families, volunteers and community supporters together under the theme “Stronger Together.”
The event takes place at West Canyon Park, 151 South 400 East, with onsite registration beginning at 8 a.m. The opening program and the walk and 5K get underway at 8:30.

Power in Pink-Iron County was founded in 2013 by four young breast cancer survivors with the goal of helping women in the local community who are facing breast cancer. Funds raised through the event stay in the community and are used to provide assistance to local women dealing with the challenges of breast cancer treatment.
A Chance To Honor And Remember
Participants will also see the personal side of the disease along the walk route, where names and photographs of people affected by breast cancer will be displayed in honor and remembrance.

Organizers are inviting community members from throughout Iron County to participate or come out to support those taking part. The morning will include the opening program, the walk and 5K, tribute displays and a finish-line celebration.

Whether you are walking, running, volunteering or simply showing up to cheer on the participants, the message of the morning is the same: the fight against breast cancer is not something anyone has to face alone.
