National Publication Picks Cedar City Diner For Best Breakfast In State
Most of the days I'm at work here at the radio station fairly early, and for the most part that precludes me from having much, if any kind of breakfast. That's kind of been true for most of my life. I seemed to take my time getting ready in the morning even as a child, and that meant usually running out the door to catch the school bus without having breakfast.
I know, that's poor eating habits.
That would change on school breaks and summer time off, when many days I would head out with my dad in the morning to meet his construction crews at the local coffee shop for breakfast and a meeting to plan out the day.
I loved going out for breakfast, and, for that matter to this day, going out for breakfast is my favorite meal to go out for. It's why I like it so much when I get a break from here, because it's a time when I can get that breakfast I usually skip. When we have been on a cruise, that is a must, getting breakfast. I'm sure part of the reason in the nostalgia I have remembering the morning breakfasts with dad.
As I've written before, if you want to get a sense of what a community is, get to one of the local diners, and have breakfast with the locals. If political leaders really wanted to get the pulse of the country, they would go have breakfast in the local eating establishments. (But please leave your flannel shirts at home – we're not buying it!)
So, because I enjoy breakfast out, I was excited to see that according to Family Destinations Guide, the best place to have breakfast in Utah, is right here in Cedar City!
According to their story, the All American Diner is the place to get breakfast in the state.
They say
Sometimes the best culinary experiences come from the most unassuming places. The All American Diner in Cedar City, Utah, is the embodiment of this truth – a place where the exterior might not scream “culinary destination,” but the food inside whispers (actually, it shouts) “you’ll be back tomorrow.”
I have had breakfast there many times, and I have to agree. It's great food, and there is a great sense of community.

I wonder if I could get management to put a remote studio in there?
