No matter what side you are on, the truth is that politics are saturating into just about every aspect of life right now. Some may be rejoicing, some may be anxiety-ridden, and the constant stream of coverage can be overwhelming.

Medical News Today said that seven in 10 adults experienced high stress levels prior to the 2020 election. The American Psychological Association said that political stress rose from 52% in 2016 to 69% this year.
Basically, politics are draining and can be harmful to one's mental and physical health.

It’s also helpful to find news sources that don’t provoke negative feelings and lean one way or the other. Always look for factual and well-balanced reporting.
Individuals should also make it a point to dive into activities that are not tied to politics like hiking, reading, crafting, etc.
MNT also recommends being mindful with your activities. Try some yoga, deep breathing and meditation if you can.
