How Utahns Can Save Money This Christmas With Giving
Listen, I know Black Friday is coming up and with inflation and other holiday stress, it may just seem like your money is disappearing.
That doesn’t mean you have any intention of not giving gifts but maybe it all feels like a little too much this year. Well, Utah maybe we don’t think of the upcoming holidays as giant money drains and instead come up with some personalized gifts.
Sure, you can still buy the book someone wants but if some things are just out of your budget this year, I totally get it.
Here are some wallet-friendly ideas for a Utah holiday season:
The Dollar Store
Now, hear me out. The Dollar Store is for everyone, not just those having a hard time financially. One cool way to get creative with your holiday is to make something. Grab a few mason jars, some twine and a few candle sticks. Now, you have all the supplies for making or remaking a homemade candle.
Food Prep
If you are able, maybe do some food prep for an elderly person or someone who struggles with making food after a day at work. This is a super thoughtful gift since you’ve done all the prep work, and someone just needs to either thaw or microwave a home cooked meal. It doesn’t need to be expensive and it’s truly helpful to someone.
Let Them Choose
Sometimes when hanging out with friends or family, it's easy to get swept up in the compromise of what you’re doing or eating. Well, why not trade off days of doing whatever that person would like to do with you. Maybe it's staying in and watching movies or maybe it's going on a hike. You can make someone's day just by allowing them a choice and the gift of your company.
