If Utah Gets A Major League Team… THESE Names Should Be Considered!

It feels like Salt Lake City is EXTREMELY CLOSE to getting a Major League Baseball team. We've had the Jazz since the 70's, and Real Salt Lake since the 2000's. Will baseball be next? What team name should they go with?

Here are a few ideas of what a potential MLB team could look like in Salt Lake City:

Salt Lake Bees:

The Salt Lake Bees are currently a Minor League team that have been in the city for decades. With Utah being the Beehive State, and the Bees having a strong brand already, it would make sense for the future MLB Team to remain "The Salt Lake Bees". It could be fun if the team used pinstripes with their uniforms too!

Salt Lake Sting:

Sting would be similar to the Bees with the Beehive State, But sounds better with "Salt Lake" and "Sting". I especially love the black and yellow brand for a team residing in the Beehive State.

Salt Lake City Saints:

It's no surprise what people think of when they think of "Utah." Most people would think Mormon Church, or the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. One of the most famous buildings in the entire Salt Lake Valley is the LDS Temple sitting right downtown. It wouldn't be a stretch for the team to be the Saints. Instead of going Black, White, and gold on this one, I went with the Sky Blue, with Burgundy for the shadows on the Mountains and Hills of Utah.

SLC PUNKS:

This may not make much sense if you're not familiar with the movie SLC Punk, but it's a movie with a cult following about young kids growing up in Salt Lake City. If you want to be unique and a fan favorite... You go with this!
