St. George Business STRUCK BY CAR… 2nd Time in 8 Months!

Tropical Smoothie Cafe in St. George might have some of the worst luck in town. Just ONE MONTH after re-opening the store, they're closed again! In January of this year, an alleged drunk driver crashed his car through Tropical Smoothie Cafe on Red Hills Parkway and 1000 East. It was estimated that the company lost around $500,000 in those 8 months closed. Well, today ANOTHER accident has taken place with another vehicle crashing into the store! TWICE in eight months, this building has been hit by cars on Red Hills Parkway!

After being hit in January, Tropical Smoothie needed to be repaired and get new equipment in the store. They had their re-grand opening on August 2nd, just 32 days ago. Now, today, Tropical Smoothie will be closed for the foreseeable future after yet another accident.

TODAY'S ACCIDENT:

From what has been gathered by witnesses, an older man driving a white pickup truck was headed East on Red Hills Parkway before crashing into several cars, then finally stopping after crashing into the north wall of Tropical Smoothie. People were transported to the hospital, including an employee of Tropical Smoothie, who was in the kitchen at the time of the accident. This employee was hit by some appliances in the back, but thankfully, the injuries are not life threatening.
