The UGLIEST AWARD Go To Cities in Utah, Nevada and California
There was a list released last year that ranked the 200 most glamorous big cities to the least glamorous big cities in America. Of course my hometown was LAST on the list. It is the Least Glamorous and many in the comments called it the Ugliest. Crushing. But hey, not all cities can be the most beautiful. Some have to do all the work and we should still appreciate them.
Why do we do these list that disparage my hometown? Of course it's on the westside and a little run down, but it holds such great memories for me.
In fact, there were a lot of sports in the 2002 Winter Olympics that were held in my hometown!
Coming in at #200 on the list of 200......
My hometown of WEST VALLET CITY, UTAH
What how??? What is the criteria?
As Reported by the Salt Lake Tribune: "LawnStarter, an outdoor home service company, compared the 200 biggest cities in the United States based on six categories broken down into 39 “glam factors.” The metrics include the number of million-dollar homes, Michelin-starred restaurants, plastic surgeons, luxury jewelry shops and exclusive yacht clubs."
Well that makes sense why would anyone in landlocked middle of Utah own a yacht? Well apparently some do. I can't even comprehend having enough money to have a yacht I will rarely be able to use.
Here is how I remember my hometown: ♥
(WEST VALLEY CITY, UT: Maverik Center funeral of Battalion Chief Matthew David Burchett 2018 in West Valley City, Utah. Burchett was killed as he was fighting the Mendocino Complex Fire in Northern California, the largest fire in California history.)
We came together to play, mourn, celebrate and our school games were full of citizens. It was awesome.
The least glamorous city in Nevada coming in at
#191 of 200 is...NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEVADA.
It is very dry and dessert-y. Far less attention to pizazz unlike Vegas, but who is gonna live up to that without spending big bucks? I feel like most cities would pale in comparison. But hey you do have an Amazon fulfillment center. And that makes it so I get my deliveries in Southern Utah pretty quick. So, thanks Northern Las Vegas!
And coming in at #195 of 200 is MORENO VALLEY, CALIFORNIA.
This is what comes up in a search of pictures of Moreno Valley, California. Run down homes with BANK REPO signs on them. The pictures look like a rundown wasteland. This is what a lot of people focus on. But not all of Moreno Valley looks like that, right? . But what is we focused on things like this next pic?

I've never been to Moreno Valley, California, so you are gonna have to defend this one yourselves. But I would love to hear about it! Let me know @ aaronee@townsquaremedia.com

Why Wouldn't Utah Claim Posty (Post Malone) As Their Own?
Why Wouldn't Utah Claim Posty (Post Malone) As Their Own? If we don't, then we should! And I'll tell you why. He is awesome! The more I see of Post Malone in the media and in interviews, the more I love him. He is sweet to his fans, such a gentleman to interviewers and I am so glad people are speaking out about how nice he is while he is still with us. So many times all of the good stuff about a celebrity comes out when they pass away.
He seems like such a genuine guy. He is so positive and respectful. I love watching him interact with fans and celebs alike.
It's been said that he is so humble and gracious. He is a delight. Most interviewers have said after the interview, that Post Malone is so respectful and uses "yes sir" and "yes Ma'am" along with showing gratitude for having him on the podcast or show. He is so grounded and real. We need more people like Post Malone in the world.
This video of Post Malone may just bring you to tears:
In the end of this video he tells the 21 year old fan that it was an honor to meet him. ♥ So cute! You can see the kids mom just so excited for her son to meet "Austin," Post Malone's real name, and how he introduces himself. This next video is another one of my favorite clips that showcases just how sweet Posty is:
Not only do we need more people like Post Malone in this world, we also need more friends to tell us they love us and that they "see" us. Seriously so awesome to hear Post Malone say that to one of his friends.
In this video you can see him dish out the compliments and just try to always make everyone feel comfortable and that he has all the time for them in that moment. Post Malone is definitely one of my celebrity heroes. What a great guy.
If you do a search on google, you can find a ton of video interactions that will just melt your heart. Just be warned that there is some language. Also, be warned that when this much good comes out about a person, suddenly the world goes on the attack and tried to dig up a bunch of garbage about the person, so try to sift through the pot stirring and ignore the garbage.
