The Ultimate ROCK Show Southern Utah Didn’t Know It Needed
The Gem, Rock, Mineral and Jewelry Show in Cedar City Utah this weekend is bigger than ever. It is an annual show put on by Southern Utah Rock Club. Janice Eldrige did a phenomenal job planning and booking vendors. You still have time to go check it out! Open today Saturday Sept 16th open at 10am till 7pm and Sunday Sept 17th 10am till 4pm at the Diamond Z Area at the Cross Hollow Event Center. Scroll for a ton of pics.
There was so much to take in and peruse, I got a great start on my Christmas shopping already!
There was plenty for the kids to check out. There was a rock hunt and $1 games with gift bags to win.
The kids loved finding all sorts of treasures and then learning exactly what they were.
The games were fun and you won a small treasure every time!
The vendors were amazing at teaching my kids with any questions they asked.
Some well know artists actually came out of retirement for this show.
In talking to Jack Cluff's family, not having enough inventory after the show last year was a great problem to have.
The craftmanship that goes into a lot of these pieces is unreal. So unique and so artistic.
High end fashion looks were also available.
We learned as we strolled. it was so fun.
The colors that we saw in rocks and minerals were unreal!
I didn't get an actual count on the vendor booths but it fill the whole Diamond Z area. I was there for 3 hours trying to take it all in. My kids only asked to leave a couple of times. hahahah
So many options of cool thing to buy!
Shark teeth and dinosaur bones, crystals and stones that glow under black light!
I bought a rock and ordered a black light after we stood at this particular booth for more than 20 mins picking out the perfect rock with the perfect design of specks that glowed under the light.
Interesting food to taste and cool things to buy for presents.
I didn't have enough money.....
So many options!!!!
You could also by rocks by the pound. It was incredible. So make time to get there. It was hours of fun.
I didn't capture even half of what was there in these pics, so go check it all out for yourself!
