Utah is known for it's red rocks and desert heat, and what's surprising is how many people don't realized how stacked the state is when it comes to skiing and snowboarding. Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics, and will soon host them again in 2034. This will be a perfect place to host the Olympics again, just based on how many ski resorts we have here. There are way more resorts than the average person even realizes! It's actually pretty wild that you can go from triple digit heat in St. George, to fresh powder in just a few hours, and somehow I've grown up in Southern Utah, and not one time have I been skiing or snowboarding. Hell, I've never even been to Brian Head!

I'll be totally honest... those ski lifts freak me out! Something about dangling up in the air with just a bar holding me back doesn't seem "fun" or "relaxing". But, at the same time, I really love being up in the mountains! I choose mountains over beach any day. Park City in the summer is one of my favorite places, and every winter I tell myself "This is the year I finally try it!" With how many incredible world-renown ski resorts that Utah has, it feels like I've been missing out on a whole side of the state!
