We may be a few hours up the road, but trust me—we’re paying attention to what’s happening in Las Vegas. We shop there, we play there, we sneak down for a weekend when we need a little break. So when things feel… off… in Vegas? We notice.

Lately, that uneasy feeling’s been hard to miss. Talk to folks, scroll Facebook, skim the news—it’s all there. No one want to admit that the economy seems shaky. Prices are up. There’s this tension in the air for businesses, like everyone’s holding their breath, waiting to see which way things tip. I know that money is tight but, patron all of the local businesses that you can. ♥

But there’s also something big on the horizon—a project that’s got a lot of eyes on it: the new Las Vegas Athletics Stadium!

I know some people are rolling their eyes. “A stadium? That’s the fix?” Fair. But according to KTNV, this thing could bring over 14,000 construction jobs and pump nearly $1.5 billion into the local economy. And hey, we’ve all seen how the Raiders and Golden Knights changed the game. They didn’t just bring sports—they brought jobs, tourists, energy.

Even the Review-Journal admits, while there’s plenty of economic uncertainty hanging over Vegas right now, this stadium could help turn the tide.
