10 Restaurant Chains Closing Doors All Over Utah & Nevada!
Have you recently walked into a restaurant and thought 'Hmm... This place feels a little empty!'? Well, brace yourself! Some of our favorite places from overpriced appetizers, to endless fries, to food courts are set to be closing in 2025. For people in both Utah and Nevada, these closures could be hitting real close to home!
THE 9 CHAINS THAT COULD CLOSE IN 2025:
1. Ruby Tuesday
Over the past few years, Ruby Tuesday has been shutting their doors all over the country. They've been shrinking for years. There's a good chance that 2025 is the year Ruby Tuesday calls it quits for good.
2. TGI Fridays
This is one of the original chain restaurants. This kicked off the idea of chill, sit down, have a beer restaurants like Chili's and Applebees. This was once the place for happy hour, or some late night mozzarella sticks. TGI Fridays has been barely hanging on. Unless a real miracle happens, TGI Fridays could be gone this year!
3. Sbarro
Former Dunder Mifflin Regional Manager, Michael Scott once called Sbarro his 'favorite place for a New York slice.' They're found at nearly every food court in nearly every mall in America, but this pizza chain is in big trouble.
4. Golden Corral
For some reason, buffets have been struggling for years, and I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY! I love a buffet, and Golden Corral is one of them. But living in a post-pandemic world has people nervous about the germs that come with buffet-style food.
5. Steak ‘n Shake
Apparently Steak 'n Shake has been fighting some franchise disputes, menu confusion, and even slow service complaints for years. I can say I've never actually had Steak 'n Shake before, so I'm not going to have many tears, but if you're a big fan, you might shed some tears!
6. Joe’s Crab Shack
This was the first places I ever tried seafood. I mean, a Popcorn Chicken Kids Meal is still seafood, kind of. It kind of makes sense that they're struggling though, I mean, it's a seafood chain with locations nowhere near the ocean!
7. Red Robin
This one hits hard. They've got those bottomless fries, and some really great burgers. But they're a struggling chain. They've got tons of competition like Five Guys, Shake Shack, Chili's, Applebees, and even some fast-food giants stepping up their game. Red Robin might have a hard time staying in this fight.
8. Fuddruckers
Unfortunately, Fuddruckers hasn't been a big deal for decades. More people are depending on takeout and delivery in 2025, and Fuddruckers depends more on the dine-in experience. Unfortunately, that's spelling BAD NEWS for Fuddruckers.
9. The Cheesecake Factory
Before you panic, no... The Cheesecake Factory is not disappearing entirely... but some locations will be. There has been rising costs, huge menus, and customers are tightening their wallets up in this economy. If yours goes under, we might have to order our 3,000-calorie cheesecake slices online!
