Utah loves to go camping in the summer and one of the great dishes served out of a dutch oven or a normal oven is cornbread. Many of us don't have time to put together a homemade recipe and grab for an easy solution like Jiffy cornbread.

No matter what boxed cornbread solution you reach for here is a simple trick to transform that cornbread into something that your family, youth group or camping buddies will line up for.

Look to one of your favorite toppings. This is the one that is already time tested and grandma approved. Yes, I'm talking about the delectable combination of honey and butter. Here is the trick, don't just save it for the topping, add it to the pan as it cooks.

This recipe suggests about a stick of butter and a half a cup of honey for each 8.5 ounce box of cornbread mix. You can melt the butter in the pan you are going to cook the cornbread in, swirl the honey in and mix it all in for a sweet and moist cornbread treat. If you are making muffins, you can add melted butter and honey into the mix before dividing it into the tins.

There is nothing wrong with topping your concoction with more honey butter, but you might find that you don't need any toppings at all, making your addition to the meal that much more portable.
