Southern Utah audiences are gearing up for a high-energy night of music as Cedar City Music Arts (CCMA) welcomes the popular vocal trio Due West to the Heritage Center Theater.

During an interview on the Big Picture Morning Show on KSUB radio, CCMA board member Marty Warburton shared excitement about the group’s growing local following and the strong response from the community. “People in Southern Utah are going crazy right now for Due West,” Warburton said, noting that interest has been pouring in through ticket requests and social media messages.

Due West also has a Southern Utah connection through member Tim Gates, a Richfield native who performs seasonally at Bryce Canyon. Warburton praised the group’s talent and authenticity, describing them as “legit” artists who write much of their own music rather than relying on a “cookie cutter corporate” approach.

Get Ready For An Intimate, Acoustic Performance

The concert, scheduled for Tuesday night (Feb. 10) at 7:30 p.m., will feature an intimate acoustic style. Warburton explained that while Due West is known as a country band, this performance will highlight “2 acoustic guitars and three vocals” with no drums or electric instruments, creating a close, harmony-driven experience.

CCMA’s outreach to students will also be on full display. Warburton said nearly 940 Iron County School District students will attend a special Tuesday morning performance, continuing CCMA’s tradition of exposing young audiences to live music across many genres.

You Could Also Win An Autographed Guitar

Adding to the excitement, CCMA will host a special giveaway during intermission. Warburton announced that concertgoers can enter for a chance to win “a perfectly good brand new acoustic Dreadnought guitar,” signed by the band. “It’s not a raffle. Doesn’t cost you anything. All you do is just show up and put your ticket in the drum,” he said, calling it a thank-you to the community for supporting CCMA over the years.

Warburton also emphasized the variety of CCMA’s programming, which now includes Americana, jazz, bluegrass, and more alongside classical performances. With additional shows coming in March and April, the season continues to offer something for every music lover.
