It’s Independence Day

The celebrations, festivities, parades and fireworks are all set, and we get ready to celebrate the Fourth of July again. At least, that seems to be what most people will say we are celebrating. It's prevalent in advertising promoting “Fourth of July” savings so come in now!

And I hope we have a great celebration! I hope there will be gatherings of friends, families and community. I hope there are tons of barbecues, picnics, parties and that we all enjoy what looks to be a perfect summer day. I hope we all have a great day of fun.

I also hope we will stop for a moment to remember that we are really celebrating Independence Day.

To me there is a difference.
