If you've spent a summer here you probably have a branded seatbelt scar on your thigh. The interior of our cars reach temperatures of over 150 degrees during Summer in Southern Utah!

Here are the TOP Tips on how to keep your PARKED CAR cool when it's blazing hot outside!

1. Crack your windows!

Cracking your windows by 2 inches allows the heat to leave your car instead of being trapped inside. It will drop the interior temperature by a whole 30 degrees! WOW!

2. Use the Windshield Shield Visor Thing!

These ALWAYS help keep my car cooler! It can reduce the interior temperature of up to 15 degrees on average! NICE! It will also reduce the DASHBOARD temperature of your car by up to 40 degrees!

3. Turn your steering wheel 180 degrees! (Top of the steering wheel down)

If you do this, it will keep the TOP of the steering wheel in the shade, so you won't burn your hands when you're driving. We drive with our hands on the top of the steering wheel, right? Well, now, that part has been in the shade! You're welcome!

4. Cover your seat and middle compartment with a beach towel:

Keep them out of direct sunlight (especially if the seats are leather). It will protect the seats and DEFINITELY keep them a ton cooler out of direct sunlight.

5. ALWAYS try to find any shade!

Even if it's only a little bit, find the shaded spot! It doesn't need to be fully shaded, but a little bit of shade can REALLY drop temperatures in your car!

6. Window Tint!

If you can afford it, window tint is ALWAYS a huge help for keeping your car nice and cool! Every time I see a car without tint here, I cannot imagine how HOT it gets in that car!
