Uncovering the Secret to the Best Country Cookin’ in Southern Utah (See Full Menu)

I was craving some down home cookin' and wanted to go out for my daughters birthday. We usually don't go out much between running around to get all the kids where they were supposed to be. It was my youngest's birthday dinner and she wanted to, " go to the place with the stools at the bar." I didn't know what she was talking about until she showed me the picture on google.

I can see why my daughter selected this place to go to dinner from this pic. hahah- It looks alive and interactive. Good flame grilled burgers and food. Absolutely a great idea for a birthday dinner. Our only disappointment is that we couldn't order breakfast, but I get it. Check out this extensive menu:

Goodness on every page. Prices are a little on the expensive side, but you get a whole plate of good country cookin' food. We ordered 5 meals and it was more than enough food for our family. We had 2 boys with us, and an extra that showed up near the end, that willingly cleaned up our plates for us.

I got the Jalapeno Melt and it was delicious! My son got the cheese burger ( $8.50) and plenty of steak fries. (+$1.50 for a $10 meal) Not too bad for dinner. I usually don't order off of kids menus because we just take the leftovers home for later.

My husband ordered the Ground Sirloin Steak and pretty much licked his plate clean. He liked his salad as well. He said it was tasty and they brought out every condiment that you could ever need form fry sauce and mustard, to butter and sour cream.

Birthday girl ordered Chicken Fried Steak and couldn't even eat half of it. It was huge! She loved dipping her fries in the gravy. The boys were very happy that I couldn't finish my burger and fries and my daughter let them split at least half of her meal as well.

I did see some desserts going out including some delicious looking pie a la mode, but my daughter already had a different dessert in mind for the ride home. I was a little bummed because the pie looked great!

Service was a little on the slower side so make sure you have some time to sit and enjoy the awesome, award winning food. So what's the recipe for great down home country food? Classic options, great portions with all the fixins, and good local service where they still care about the local customer. Well done Market Grill!
