Utah: Country Fan Fest Here I Come!
I am so excited for Country Fan Fest 2023! It starts today and goes through Saturday. This year the line up is unreal! If you bought tickets for any of the days you will not regret it.
Up tonight July 26th is Sawyer Brown! I've seen them in concert a bunch of times and they always bring the energy and put on a great show.
Thursday July 27th, check out this line up: Parker McCollum, Scotty McCreery, Priscilla Block, Spencer Crandall and Madaline Edwards! It is going to be amazing.
Friday July 28th on stage is Cody Johnson, Ashley McBryde, Randall King, Shane Profitt, George Birge.
I have seen Ashley McBryde and Shane Profitt before and they were awesome. I am totally stoked to see Cody Johnson live! ♥ (I'll let you know how it goes.)
Saturday July 29th I get to see HARDY LIVE!!! AHHHHHHHHH I am so excited. I went to a FGL and Dan+Shay show at USANA and Hardy was supposed to open for them but he had to switch out with the other opener that night. I was soooo bummed. But it was Morgan Wallen that opened so I guess I can't complain. Also performing that night, Ian Munsick, Ernest, John Morgan, Kylie Morgan, Carver Louis and Jagertown.
This is gonna be the greatest week!!
At Cat Country Utah we were able to giveaway tickets to some very excited listeners. Some might think that the drive would deter southern Utahn's from going, but from our perspective the road trip just adds to the excitement and fun.
Usually we get a few camp sites to giveaway and they were selling out so fast they couldn't do it. The word is out on how amazing this fest is. Luckily I get to stay at my friends house and I don't have to try and find somewhere to stay because the hotels are booked up as well.
If you are lucky enough to take work off, travel and stay, have a blast! Travel safe.
When you head out on the road what treats do you just HAVE to have? Where is the BEST place to get them?
I did a poll of Cat Country Utah listeners/followers and here is what we came up with.
Ooo I get motion sickness as well as my daughter. I already do beef jerky but we will have to try Sirrene's suggestion for BBQ chips to help out my daughter.
Jerky is my number one favorite treat. I am way more apt to buy salty treats than sweet, but you still have to have balance.
Ummm we are just gonna take your word for it on the Beyond Jerky......
Chocolate covered mango?!?! YUM!
We make sure we take veggies and fruit as well. We also take plenty of water and True Lemonade packets. We only get one stop for treats, so that we don't over do it.
Tons of great recommendations from our listeners! I love stocking up on healthy drinks so that I stay hydrated and still get a flavor punch.
Freeze dried candy is all the craze right now. you can find it in almost every off freeway gas station. And sunflower seeds shows up pretty high on the list.
I am actually shocked more people didn't say chips. I love Doritos or Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar.
I also love licorice. My go-to is Twizzlers Cherry Nibs. I never buy candy except for a good long road trip. It really does make it more fun when you are in the car for a long time.
My husband loves Kombucha, dried fruit and nuts and dark chocolate. He's a weirdo. hahah So we have to pack his ahead of time. My kids LOVE Sweet Tart Ropes, Air Heads and smoothies.
The best place to stop, by far, was Maverick. You know what you are going to get, they have a ton of options and they have plenty of bathrooms. Also the big Maverick in Fillmore has a doggy play area!! So my pups can get out, grab some water, run around and smell all of the other doggy's pee that have ever stopped there.
What did we miss on the list? Let me know here: Aaronee
