The storm is currently at the tail-end, and the major devastation has passed, but the homes that have been hit will probably be major losses. But will insurance cover it? As we all know, Flood Insurance isn't something that everybody has.

WHAT IS MONSOON SEASON?

Monsoon season in Utah, typically running from July through September, brings much-needed moisture to the arid region, but it also poses significant risks. These storms, fueled by warm, moist air from the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico, can quickly escalate, unleashing heavy rainfall, flash floods, and lightning. While the rain is a welcome relief for drought-stricken areas, the sudden downpours can lead to dangerous conditions, particularly in slot canyons and low-lying areas. Residents and visitors are advised to stay alert, heed weather warnings, and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions during this dramatic and unpredictable season.

If you know anybody in the Utah County area, call them up and check on them tonight.
