UTAH (and most of Nevada):
While much of the nation faces drier-than-usual conditions, the western Rocky Mountains are gearing up for a snowy winter! This means states like Utah, Colorado, and areas around Lake Tahoe in California can expect a solid dose of wintery weather. SNOW IS COMING! Snowfall and precipitation levels across the Intermountain Region are predicted to be at or above average. The heaviest snowfalls are expected in mid-November, early and late January, and mid-March. Though it’ll be chilly, this winter won’t be particularly harsh. Temperatures are expected to be slightly warmer than usual, with the coldest snaps hitting in late November and late January.
CALIFORNIA:
LAS VEGAS (and the Southwest):
Expect colder-than-usual temperatures throughout the season, with some monthly fluctuations. January will be about 3 degrees warmer than average, while March is forecasted to be 3 degrees colder. The chilliest stretches are predicted for mid-November, mid to late December, and early February. Prepare for above-average precipitation this winter! In regions that typically see snow, expect higher-than-normal snowfall, with the snowiest times hitting mid-December and early February.
