The Best Fall Festivals, Rodeos & Events in Southern Utah

Fall is one of the best times to explore Southern Utah. As temperatures cool and the red-rock landscape takes on a different feel, communities from St. George and Hurricane to Kanab and Cedar City fill the calendar with festivals, rodeos, outdoor races, markets, concerts and Halloween attractions.

Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly weekend, a taste of Southern Utah tradition or a reason to get outside, here are some of the biggest events happening throughout the region this fall.

One of Southern Utah’s classic community celebrations, Peach Days returns to Hurricane over Labor Day weekend. The annual heritage festival includes a parade, carnival, food and vendor booths, pioneer displays, entertainment and rodeo events. The city says this year’s celebration will be the 28th annual Peach Days.

The Peach Days rodeo will take place at the American Legion Equestrian Park, with rodeo performances September 3–5.

Head south to Kanab for a weekend celebrating the area's Old West and movie-making heritage. The Little Hollywood Wild West Fest features Western performers, cowboy poetry and storytelling, vendors, live music, celebrity appearances and family activities.

This year’s schedule includes a screening of Tombstone with actor Peter Sherayko on September 10, followed by a full slate of activities at the Little Hollywood Museum, Parry Lodge Barn, Kanab Center and other downtown locations September 11–12.

For shoppers and fans of handmade goods, the St. George Fall Festival offers two days of browsing local small businesses, boutiques, artists, food vendors and specialty makers. The event is free to attend and takes place inside the Grafton Building at Washington County Legacy Park.

A longtime St. George tradition, the Dixie Roundup Rodeo brings three nights of rodeo action to the Dixie Sunbowl. The 2026 event is scheduled for September 17–19.

Celebrate Southern Utah’s Swiss pioneer heritage during Santa Clara Swiss Days. The three-day hometown festival includes a community dinner, 5K, parade, live entertainment, food and craft vendors, pioneer activities and the Red Rock Car Show.

Staheli Family Farm is once again transforming its Washington Fields property into one of Southern Utah’s signature fall destinations. The farm’s fall season features a giant corn maze, pumpkin patch, seasonal entertainment and food.

For those who like their autumn activities with a little more fright, the farm’s Field of Screams runs on select nights from September 18 through October 31. A Lights-On version is also available for guests who want the maze experience without the full haunted-house intensity.

The St. George Marathon returns October 3, bringing thousands of runners and spectators to Southern Utah. The point-to-point course is known for its scenic route and substantial downhill elevation change, finishing in downtown St. George.

Even if you aren’t running, marathon weekend is a fun time to experience the energy around downtown and along the course.

Professional golf returns to Southern Utah when the PGA Tour’s Bank of Utah Championship is played at Black Desert Resort in Ivins. The tournament is scheduled for October 1–4.

October brings one of Southern Utah’s largest sporting events: the Huntsman World Senior Games. Athletes age 50 and older compete in more than 40 sports at venues throughout the St. George area.

The games create a festive atmosphere across the community, with competitions taking place at multiple locations.

For mountain-bike fans, Red Bull Rampage is one of the most spectacular events on the Southern Utah calendar. The freeride mountain-bike competition returns to the Virgin area October 8–10.

If you’re looking for something more relaxed, grab a blanket or lawn chair and head to Vernon Worthen Park for the October installment of St. George’s free Concert in the Park series. The October 12 concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. and features Rock Your World, a female-fronted rock cover band.

For a classic haunted attraction, the Field of Screams at Staheli Family Farm is one of the region’s biggest Halloween draws. The 2026 season runs from September 18 through October 31 on select nights.

Halloween gets a theatrical twist when Odyssey Dance Theatre brings its popular Thriller production to Tuacahn Amphitheatre. Performances are scheduled for October 28–31.

Families heading to Kane County can celebrate Halloween with Kanab’s Spooktacular Extravaganza. The event includes trunk-or-treating, a haunted tunnel and a pumpkin illumination wall.

Mountain bikers can close out the fall racing season with the Gooseberry Epic on Gooseberry Mesa. The event is scheduled for November 7 and combines endurance racing with some of Southern Utah’s iconic slickrock scenery.

The Snow Canyon Half Marathon and 10K provide another opportunity to enjoy Southern Utah’s cooler November weather. The races are scheduled for November 14 at Snow Canyon State Park.

The fall entertainment season continues at Tuacahn Amphitheatre with several November performances, including Jimmy’s Buffet on November 5, An Acoustic Evening with Chris Young on November 7, and STAYIN’ ALIVE: One Night of the Bee Gees on November 11.
