
The Truth About Southern Utah’s Firework Rules
As a Southern Utah resident, I love to celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks. But with wildfire danger running high, Forsyth Fire (Pine Valley) and France Canyon Fire (Near Bryce Canyon) there are some strict rules in place this year. Whether you're in St. George, Cedar City, Kanab, Hurricane, or nearby towns, it’s essential to know what’s allowed—and what could cost you a hefty fine.

Across Utah, fireworks can legally be sold from June 24 through July 25, but you can only light them during these specific times:
July 2–5, and July 22-25 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with time extended to midnight on July 4 & 24.
Where to Watch Fireworks Safely in Southern Utah

- Parade starts ~7:45 a.m. downtown

- Parade at 9 a.m., activities until 3 p.m.,
