A pretty shocking turn of events has hit Utah. The pornography site PornHub announced Tuesday that users in the state of Utah will no longer be able to access their site. This comes after a Utah state law has passed. The law is designed to protect minors from accessing the site.

This block comes a day before they would be required to implement verification requirements. Those requirements would be uploading your government issued ID to prove you're over 18 years old.

The website released a statement to users that have logged onto the site, Tuesday:

'While safety and compliance are at the forefront of our mission, giving your ID card every time you want to visit an adult platform is not the most effective solution for protecting our users, and in fact, will put children and your privacy at risk.'

The adult site is urging Utahns to "Please contact your representatives before it's too late."

PornHub is insisting that they have better safety measures in place to protect children.

'We believe that the best and most effective solution for protecting children and adults alike is to identify users by their device and allow access to age-restricted materials and websites based on that identification."

Utah legislators believe the adult video site will eventually comply, and all will go back to normal.

What do you feel about this new Utah law requiring sites to get photo ID in order to access the adult/mature content? Do you think PornHub will bend to Utah's rules?
