How To Work With A VERY MORMON Co-Worker!

If you grew up in Southern Utah, or moved here recently... You've probably found yourself working along side an EXTREMELY MORMON co-worker! This can be a very unique experience if you're not prepared for it.

I work with a VERY Mormon co-worker every single day. Here are my BEST TIPS to create a very successful working relationship with them!

FIND A GOOD ALTERNATIVE SWEAR WORD:

SCHMUCK, SCHMO, and JACKWAD are all the alternative words that she uses on the regular. My favorites are SHIZ, FREAK, and MOTHER!!!

TAKE IT EASY ON THE SEXUAL INNUENDOS:

I'm not saying DON'T USE ANY innuendos, but ONLY use the extremely good ones. "That's what she said!" will always land a smile on their face though. You'll start to feel super proud when you inevitably land a smile on their face with a good innuendo!

NEVER LET THEM KNOW ABOUT WHAT YOU DO ON THE WEEKENDS:

When they ask "How was your weekend?", always say "OH... PRETTY CHILL!" They don't need to know about EVERYTHING you did in Vegas. Plus, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right?

LET THEM COOK:

If there's ever a situation where they ask to cook for you... LET THEM! The Mormons CAN COOK, BABY! If it's a dessert, a funeral potato, a soup, or ANYTHING ELSE... LET. THEM. COOK!

WORDS YOU'LL PROBABLY NOT UNDERSTAND:

If you hear words like "There will be REFRESHMENTS!" That means there will be some pop, and some snacks to eat. Probably a Rice Krispy Treat.

General Conference: I know... It sounds like the leader of a Mormon army. But it's not. It's a big meeting twice a year where the president and higher ups of the church make announcements. They get thrilled about it. It's like Woodstock to them.

Fast Sunday: It doesn't mean the day was sped up or anything. It means they were fasting... like NOT EATING. Also, on those days people at church get up on stage and share with everyone how they know their religion is true. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you'll see somehow go absolutely berserk on the microphone and get dragged off stage... (SEEN IT BEFORE!)
