FROSTOP

We live in a place with a lot of character, charm, and beauty. But, it feels like St. George has changed so much over the past 10, 20, 30, even 40 years! Sometimes St. George feels unrecognizable! Buildings are being torn down and new things are coming in...

If you grew up in Southern Utah, you probably frequented Larsen's Frostop fairly often. My family definitely did. The Frostop was my FAVORITE restaurant growing up. They had the best burgers, Piccadilly Chips, Glaciers, machines I could buy a temporary tattoo, and the food was super cheap too...

The other day I came across some old postcards of St. George, Utah. A lot of these buildings are long gone, but some are still standing. I thought it would be fun to do some side by sides of the postcards from WAY back in the day vs. the way the same land looks today...

Does this feel like deja vu to anyone else? A local favorite is shutting it's doors for good. Larsen's Frostop. About a year ago, Frostop closed down for a few months before being brought back to life by new owners. Unfortunately as of today, they've announced that they're closing down once again...

Larsen's Frostop Drive-In has been a staple in St. George for close to 60 years! It was also MY FAVORITE restaurant growing up! A little while ago, Frostop closed it's doors, for what we thought, was FOREVER! But that nightmare soon ended, and Larsen's Frostop was back up and running under new ownership...

I love to go out to eat, but I am not loaded so it is fun to be reminded of all the options in town.
