Moore's Old Pine Inn in Marysvale, Utah is Utah's OLDEST running hotel in the entire state! Opened in 1882 by a Protestant Missionary and her Civil War Medic Husband, they found Marysvale in hopes of finding an opportunity with the gold rush! They opened the hotel and called it the Pines Hotel. This hotel was more than just a hotel in the 1800's though. Doctors would come stay at the hotel for a week, and anyone in the surrounding towns without Doctors would come to the Pines Hotel to see the Doctor and get checkout out. Plus, when Miners from the mountain would be get injured, they would check into the hotel and be treated there for weeks, sometimes months! This hotel was a little bit of everything!

BUTCH CASSIDY:

According to the now-owners, Butch Cassidy had stayed at this hotel many times. There's even a story dating back to the early 1990's, where a 90-something year old woman knocked on the door. She explained that she use to work at the Inn when she was much younger and asked to look around! She shared many stories of what it was like working for the hotel nearly 75 years prior! She even shared a story on how she saw Butch Cassidy at the hotel, YEARS AFTER he supposedly died in Bolivia. She knew Butch personally, as she was friends with his little sister. She knew how Butch sounded, how he spoke, how he walked, and his mannerisms. She knew for certain, that was Butch. He noticed her, gave her a nod, and left the Inn. That would mean Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were NOT killed in a shootout in Bolivia in 1908!

SPIRITS IN THE HOTEL:

For much of my life, I've heard of the stories of the Old Pine Inn being haunted. I've heard multiple stories. A woman-figure being seen on the front porch on a porch swing, and sometimes the swing will take off without anyone near, or any wind! After talking to the owners about the possible spirits in the hotel, they confirmed that they've had guests share stories with them about seeing ghosts during their stays. HOWEVER... each story did have on thing in common: The spirits were GOOD, and not evil. The most spirits have been seen in the Indian Room, if you're interested in that!

BREAKFAST BY REQUEST:

Moore's Old Pine Inn was always considered a Bed & Breakfast, but they've switched things up a little bit! If you'd like breakfast in the morning, instead of taking your order the night before, and serving you at a set time, the owners will prepare a Chuckwagon Style Breakfast outside under the huge pavilion out back!

142 Years ago, it was just the hotel. Today, you have the option of staying in the classic hotel, or staying out back in the totally private cabins! Like the classic hotel, the cabins are all THEMED! You can have your choice to say in the Sheriffs Office/Jail, Gold Gulch, Cottonwood Cabin, Piute Press, Newspaper Office, Marysvale Cash Store, Even the Brothel Room, and MANY MORE! Outside of the cabins, you have your own private parking spot, and a massive grass yard to hang out, or play with your kids! There's even a firepit, and the huge pavilion is back there too!

MARYSVALE IS OPEN, AND YOUR FAMILY WILL LOVE IT!

Earlier this month, the mountains to the West of Marysvale were hit by wildfire. Some evacuations happened, then they were lifted. But the fear of the fire has brought many people to cancel their vacation plans, hurting so many of the business owners in Marysvale. One of those business owners is Moore's Old Pine Inn. If you're looking for an awesome place to have a getaway or a small family vacation, consider Moore's Old Pine Inn! Whether you want to do a little ghost-hunting, or you just want to enjoy the charm of Marysvale and Utah's OLDEST hotel, you will have a BLAST here!

FAMILY TRADITION!

Many families across the state, and even across the world have made the Old Pine Inn a tradition for their families! They'll travel from all over to enjoy the amenities, the location, the locals, or the Paiute ATV Trail. My family is ALWAYS in Marysvale for the 24th of July, and if you're looking for a new tradition that your family will ABSOLUTELY LOVE, then you need to try Marysvale. You will not regret it, and I'll bet you'll be back in Marysvale time and time again!
