Utah’s BEST Savory Broiled Salmon Recipe
What's Aaronee Cooking? Salmon?! I usually don't crave seafood but I know I need some of the nutrition that is readily available in fish. Salmon is a nutritional powerhouse offering a range of health benefits. Its high content of omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA and DHA, supports heart health, reduces inflammation, and promotes brain function.
The fish is also an excellent source of high-quality protein, essential for muscle repair, and provides vital nutrients such as B vitamins, selenium, and phosphorus. Additionally, the presence of antioxidants like astaxanthin contributes to anti-inflammatory and cardiovascular benefits.
Salmon's impact on bone health, cognitive function, and eye health further highlights its overall positive effects. So I set out to make a fish I would eat. I don't like the smell and most of the time, the flavor. I seasoned this fish up so good that I actually enjoyed it.
2 (6oz) salmon filets
2 tsp Dill
1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
2 tbsp. Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
Make sure you fish is fresh smelling whether you bought it fresh or unthawed it.
Put it on some aluminum foil on a baking sheet skin side down.
Slather it with all the spices and olive oil.
Cut and squeeze 1/2 a lemon over the top and zest 1/2 of it up on top as well.
Reserve the other half of the lemon for serving.
Cook on low broil for 15-20 mins. checking every 5 mins for moisture.
If your oven cooks a little too high you can put a small oven safe dish of water in the oven to keep the fish from drying out. Enjoy!
The laws in Utah say that in most public places, where you don't have an expectation of privacy, taking photos is ok. Gross. This one seems like common knowledge. However, sometimes people forget that they are not supposed to take even mirror selfies in public restrooms.

3. Churches or Temples
ChurchofJesusChrist.org states "Because chapels are sacred, taking photographs or making video recordings in chapels is not permitted." Catholic.com answered like this: "Under normal circumstances, photographers and videographers would be a distraction to the faithful." In 2017 Pope Francis stated, "The priest says 'lift up your hearts'. He does not say, 'lift up your mobile phones to take pictures'. " He also added that using smartphones during the prayer service was an "awful" and "very ugly thing".
4. Someone's home or apartment
Again, this seems like common sense. But you know what they say about common sense, it's not too common anymore. You cannot take pictures in homes or apartments without all parties knowing and consenting. Under Utah Code § 76-9-402(1)(b), you illegally violate another person's privacy if you install or set up a camera (such as a wireless hidden camera) “in a private place,” such a person's home or apartment unit, without getting permission from the homeowner or tenant.
5. State Reception Room (Gold Room), Utah State Capitol
6.House and Senate Chambers, Utah State Capitol
7. Supreme Court or other areas behind closed doors within the Utah State Capitol.

We've already had some snowfall across Utah, but what is to come? When will we get dumped on? We have had a pittance of the moisture that came last winter. I keep hearing that lots of rain, snow and balmy temperatures are forecasted this winter because it's an El Nino year. Well, where is it?
It's expected that this season the bigger amounts of snow will come in January & February 2024

So I guess we are just waiting non patiently......When will winter end? Winter temps and precipitation may hold on till early spring, with a possibility of snow during the first part of April. (We'll have to see what the groundhog has to say.)
